My name is Lyndsey DiPierro and I am studying elementary education at Florida Gulf Coast University. I was born and raised in Palm Beach Florida and plan to move back there after I graduate. I am the oldest of four children. My two brothers, Mathew (13) and Daniel (10) are the loves of my life and the guinea pigs of the teaching strategies I learn in class. My sister Kelsey (19) is my best friend and is studying to be a hotel interior designer. I have an extremely close relationship with both of my parents and can't wait to be living in the same county as them.
Growing up I knew I was meant to be a teacher. I always took care of my siblings and loved everything about school. Helping people learn is one of my biggest passions. I was a cheerleading coach for girls aged 5-12 for 5 years, and volunteered at a local pre-school before I moved away for college. I love to spend time with my friends and family, read, play with my dog Harley, and be with my amazing boyfriend, Zachary.
Moving away from my parents, becoming independent, and graduating from college in four years have been my main goals in life so far, and two out of three have been completed. These past 3 years of college have been wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. FGCU has/still is preparing me for the best career out there! I can't wait to be a teacher!
All around the world are making s difference. Each day students are inspired to be the best "you" that they can be. Teachers don't only teach; they guide, encourage, listen, and motivate their students.
